Inara! She got overtaken eventually as my Firefly fav, but I'll always adore her because it was her character that made me fall in love with the show; before Shindig I was sort of bored by it, but that one drew me in completely, and it was all because of her awesomeness.
I always roll my eyes at the people who portray her as all shallow and silly because she dares to wear makeup and fancy clothes. Really, fandom? *sigh*
