First and foremost, a happy birthday to

addgrrl. Hope you both have the wonderful birthdays you want and deserve!

Now, onto my initial reactions on Epitah One and Echo....

Epitah One: I’d need to re-watch this episode several times before I even attempted to truly analyze it but here are my initial thoughts:
*Felicia Day gets more awesome with each performance.
*The creepy little girl was very creepy. Still don’t know who she really was.
*People should never shower in the pitch-black dark. It never ends well.
*Boyd/Claire are adorable and I loved their scene. I truly believe ‘Whiskey’ stayed at the Dollhouse because Boyd told Claire he’d come back for her. That made me squee with joy then made me very sad.
*Sierra and Victor (or their original personalities) were together and more gorgeous than ever.
*If I ever felt anything but love for Topher, he won me over completely in this episode. All I wanted to do was wrap him and Adelle in my arms and tell them it was all a really bad dream.
*Two Novembers. Awesome, yet creepy.
*I’m glad they didn’t come right out and say Caroline and Paul were together. They’d make the WORST. COUPLE. EVER!!!
*Seeing all of their pictures on that wall made me very, very sad.
*And last-but-not-least, Amy Acker needs an Emmy. Now.

Original Unaired Pilot (Echo): WHEN WILL FOX LEARN?!?!? If you get Joss Whedon to do a show for you, just let him do it HIS way. I promise, it’ll be ten times better than the crap you think you want!
*To all the fans who’ve mentioned that Eliza’s acting hasn’t been all-that-wonderful along the way: WATCH THE ORIGINAL PILOT. She really blew that one out of the water.
*I noticed that they used a lot of scenes from this first pilot in other episodes. If FOX was okay with that, why did they axe the original pilot in the first place?!?! Makes NO sense to me.
*The only thing I dislike about the original pilot is that I can’t really take it as canon. In the original, Paul meets Echo/Caroline right away and SHE SHOOTS HIM. Which, is kinda cool, but would rule out their ‘first’ meeting in Man on the Street. And considering MotS is one of the BEST episodes of the first season, I can’t really take anything as cannon that would mess with such a great episode.

All in all, both really wonderful episodes that every Dollhouse fan should see.

On another note, I have the finale episode of Dollhouse saved, but I haven't watched it yet b/c I was afraid that show was going to get cancelled and I didn't want to it to end. Since we found out it was getting renewed, I just haven't had a chance to sit down and watch it. I need to do that so I can go watch Epitaph! LOL (Have I mentioned how much I love your Paul/Mellie kisses here?) :D

The season finale was pretty fantastic, as was Epitah One.

My mind is still blown over "Epitaph One," and it's been two weeks since I watched it. I can't wait for new episodes!

It's was pretty incredible, that's for sure! September is too far away.

I still have very mixed feelings about Epitaph One. It originally bothered me that Joss went with such an obvious apocalyptic future. I mean, I get that the Dollhouse is nefarious and given time some truly horrendous things could happen as a direct result of the technology it uses. But it seemed like such an obvious choice, I was hoping he would do something to surprise me instead.

But I'm right there with you on Boyd/Claire and Paul/Echo/Caroline! The one is adorable and the other... Ewww.

Where did you find the unaired pilot?!? I'd really like to see it. Especially after what you've said about Dushku's acting, as I'm one of those people that thinks she is the weakest actor of the series.

The original pilot, as well as Epitah One, is on disc 4 of the DVDs. I bought them but I know you can rent them from Blockbuster and Netflix online.

I think the big problem with ED's acting was that she was given the worst imprints and the WORST original personality. I mean, she could've acted her little butt off and I still would've hated Caroline! And Paul/Caroline is just...The word icky isn't quite strong enough:) I really hope Paul is over his Caroline obsession this season because that annoyed the crap out of me, even if it was Tahmoh.

I have to say that I loved Epitaph One, but I really didn't like the original pilot, it seemed rush and confusing and I know that's how Joss likes it, but I'm sort of glad that FOX made Joss re-do it their way, because that way it dragged it out the whole season instead of rushing to get it all in one episode you know?

Well, I understand what you mean about not revealing too much, too soon but I really wish we'd have gotten the original pilot and the rest of the season the way Joss originally intended it to be because those first few stand-alone episodes were really bad.

Um, am I missing something? Did it start already and I missed it. What episode are you talking about with pictures of Caroline and Paul together?

Both of these episodes were unaired episodes from the 1st season. They are on the 1st season DVDs, disc 4. You can probably find them online somewhere if you can't rent the DVDs.

Nope, I actually got rid of my texting plan all-together since it wasn't working. I should be able to get a new phone sometime next month and I'm sure I'll re-activate the texting plan then.

I just watched episode 13, now I know why they didnt show it, just in case the show got renewed. WOW! I really liked it, but I wanted to know what happened after. Did they find safe haven, was Caroline still alive? SO many more questions, but it would have been a good series finale in a way.

It would've been a great series finale but it works just as well as a starting point. I'm so interested to see how things got to that point and I think it's going to be one heck of a season!
