But look at my shiny new mood theme! Isn't sleepy!Sammy all kinds of adorable? Oh, epic!OTP of hotness...

Also, the 2nd round has just started at [livejournal.com profile] twelvecolonies and Team Galactica could certainly use some new nuggets (the other teams are lovely, too). So if you have any interest in this sort of challenge comm, head on over there and tell 'em I sent you!

Also using this post to showcase my newest icon by [livejournal.com profile] hobbitofkobol. Yes, friends, it seems like Dollhouse is in danger yet again. So set up those TiVo's or head on over to Hulu and give the show some support. After all, I don't think there's anyone on my flist who isn't a fan of either the Whedonverse or BSG (LOTS of Galatica veterans popping up on DH this season).

In TV news, I saw the pilots for SGU and Three Rivers. I liked both which surprised me since I've been bored to tears by most of the pilots this season.

I hear you about the Dollhouse situation. Only two episodes in, my God. I'm definitely taking my part in my fandom activism, definitely. How come it always seems to be the Whedon shows that are always suffering and are hanging by that tiny thread? I just don't get it.

Because the networks are not concerned with the quality of the programs they air but only how much money they make from them. So that's why less-than-stellar procedurals can stay on the air for 10 seasons while we've got to fight to keep our shows on for more than one!

I really liked the Three Rivers pilot. I think that show has a lot of potential. I have Stargate Universe on my dvr waiting to be watched so we'll see about that...

Well, a lot of Stargate fans on my flist didn't care for the SGU pilot but since I was never a true fan of the original(s), the differences didn't really bother me.

I joined :) - both twelwecolonies and whedonland. We'll see which team I'll get.

Honestly, I think Dollhouse deserves to be in danger. S2 had a good start but it seems like nothing major is happening lately. It needs more action, more drama , more plots...more of everything. I really like that show but they are unnecessarily slowing it down. I hope something will change in the next ep, I really do.

SGU was (surprisingly!) good. I had no high expectations but I really liked it.

Dollhouse...Honestly, the pace of it wouldn't bother me if they involved the other characters. As much as I LOVE Eliza, I don't love Echo and I don't really want to watch a show that revolves only around that character (and her squicky relationship with Ballard). As long as they start to involve the others, I'll be more than happy to stick with it:)

I'm glad. Are you a big Stargate fan? I liked SGA but wasn't really fandomy about it and I never really cared for SG1. The changes they've made so far in SGU actually intrigue me but I can certainly see why fans of the franchise didn't like it because it really didn't feel like a Stargate show.

It has the same premise as any Stargate show ...but it's better, well, so far.

ITA. I like my shows dark...or at least full of dark elements and the other Stargates were always kinda light and silly. Of course there's nothing wrong with that but, for me, it's much less interesting.

Yeah...I mean, the show definitely needs some work but I don't think it should be pulled after only two episodes have aired.
