Initial reactions on Lost's season finale...

So I managed to see the last hour of tonight's finale...

Truthfully, I'm kinda happy with the ending and it was pretty much what I expected: The bomb detonates and we are left wondering what the frak will happen to ALL of these people.

I was SCREAMING and SOBBING when I thought Juliet might die. I turned to my mom and told her that IF Juliet died, she'd have to watch the show by herself next season.

Luckily...Juliet was still alive and managed to set the bomb off. SO...I have no clue what lies in store for us next season, but I'm optimistic that not only will we see Juliet and co. alive and well but we might see some old faces return, too (Claire? Eko? Ana-Lucia?).

It will be a LOOOOONNNGGG hiatus but thanks to BSG, I feel prepared to survive without answers until 2010.

BUT...Anyone else kinda pi$$ed that 'Jacob' wasn't John Locke? I feel really ripped off with that one.

I didn't want Jacob to be Locke but knowing what Not!Locke/Anti-Jacob/Esau did to Locke to get Ben to kill Jacob, I would so take that over what happened.

Juliet and Locke have had such horrible lives, and god, her death(?) was agonizingly cruel; I just saw a gif of it on ONTD and I feel like crying again. If the bomb worked, maybe everybody will be back and get to try again, get it right this time? ::hopes::

Considering how close most of the characters were to the bomb when Juliet set it off, I imagine it had to work. Otherwise, there wouldn't be many characters left alive for next season:).

I'm guessing the bomb reset things to SOME point in time where we'll pick up next season. WHEN that point will be, I have no clue but I imagine it at least saves the characters stuck in the 70s and somehow brings them back to the present. What I don't know is if it will do anything to Not!Locke, Ben, Sun, and poor dead Jacob. It's seem pretty stupid to go through all of that with Ben killing Jacob if they were simply going to un-do it all with the magic bomb.

And how awsome was Juliet in the end?! Not only did she sacrifice herself so James could get to safety but she managed to use the very last bit of her strength to (maybe) save everyone. I love her...and she WILL be back, ALIVE, in season 6...right?!?!?!

God, I hope she's back next season, she deserves a better life than she had (plus, she's a cool female character, and LOST has a bad habit of killing those off).

Gods...YEAH they do:)! Juliet is the ONLY regular female character left on the show who I truly LOVE.

And she's such a badass! The woman's whole body was basically broken and she still managed to save the day!

Plus, she made me love James again and turned me into a total J&J shipper :D.

As someone who's not going to watch this season seeing as my favourite character wasn't a regular... were there ANY hints about Claire's fate at all?

Not that I can recall. She was mentioned a few times throughout the season but none of the characters had any knowledge of what happened to her.

All if have to say: Claire BETTER be alive and BETTER be reunited with her son in the final season.
