Happy Friday Friends!

What are five stories you wish you could write, but can't?

1. Anything involving Juliet Burke: For some reason, I just can not capture her voice no matter how hard I try.
2. How Wash and Zoe fell in love. I can't decide how I would write their early relationship.
3. New Caprica: The first time Tyrol saw Boomer after she died in his arms.
4. Anything involving River Tam: Another character I just can not write.
5. Torchwood: The very last thing Owen ever felt was the warmth of Tosh's lips on his.

I feel you on River Tam. I'm writing a BSG/Firefly crossover, and River will definitely have an important part in it, but so far writing her has been difficult. My beta tells me it's good, which is good, but it's kind of like pulling teeth. It helps that I'm not doing it from her POV, but just writing her dialogue and interactions with other characters is difficult, because she was crazy, but then sometimes she was more lucid, and you have to figure out which she should be in each particular moment, and if you're having her be too much one or the other...bah.

I tried writing a Firefly piece a while back that would involve all of the female characters on a mission without any of the guys but I had to give up because I simply could not write River at all. She's far too complex for an amateur like me:).

I agree that writing Wash/Zoe and how they fell in love would be difficult, but if you ever do I'd love to read it!

Also, I've seen River written poorly, so I'd have to say that it's probably harder than it looks to get her voice right.

The thing with Wash and Zoe is that I can't decide on a storyline for how they fell in love. I've got a lot of different ideas but none of them feel...right, ya know? I don't know...If I ever get an idea I really like, I'll probably take a stab at it.

But River...Yeah...I don't think I'll ever write more than a few lines for her:).

I actually don't know much about the ones you mentioned, lol.

All I can say is I used to be able to write Faith like it was nobody's business, lol. But as I stopped writing, I lost my touch for her. I guess it also happens that I did an amazing job writing her as evil. Once she became all redeemed and shit, I kinda lost her :(

Faith...I haven't tried writing anything from the Buffyverse in a long time so I don't know if I could write Faith. I imagine it'd be easier to write evil!Faith then redeemed!Faith cause evil is always more fun!

You got that right. I had a blast when I first got into fanfic because I was a huge Spike/Faith shipper. I wrote them together in almost every story. And they were always plotting against the scoobies, lol
