Whedonland BB 2011, part the first

So we had another Big Bang to do for whedonland. This time around, it's worth 200 points. I decided to do 4 picspams for the first 100. My theme was 'Love, Firefly style'. Yeah, I know...I'm not predictable at all :)






My first 'spam is for Inara/Kaylee. Even without the femslashy subtext, theirs was one of my favorite relationships on the show.




My 2nd spam is dedicated to the friendship between Mal & Zoe. Theirs is a hard relationship to define because it really goes so far beyond friendship yet, as we saw in War Stories, is completely platonic in nature. I guess the best thing to say is that they're family.




My 3rd spam is of YoSaffBridge/everyone and...well...it's based on more of my own hopes/wants than anything we actually saw in canon. It's my personal fanon that somewhere down the line, our favorite multi-named thief is forced to team up with our gang on a more long-term basis and in the process, becomes a vital member of this weirdly awesome family. She is the first Mrs. Reynolds, after all :)

(Alternatively, you could say this spam was based on my love for Christina Hendricks and the mad chemistry she had with every other member of the Firefly cast.)




My final spam is for Simon + River Tam, possibly my favorite on-screen sibling relationship...ever. Yes, they are that perfect.

My original plan was to make a Zoe/Wash vid as part of my 2nd 100 points but I couldn't make the song work with them so I ended up doing Kaylee/Simon instead. However...Zoe/Wash do feature heavily in the other vid I'm just finishing, which is an ensemble for the whole crew.
