It's been ages upon ages since I visited this site and I'm somewhat surprised I could still log in.

With all the nonsense that's happening with tumblr, I decided to make sure I still had a home base to come back to in case things shut down over there. Thanks to miera_c for that suggestion.

I don't know how many people I was subscribed to are still active around here, but if you'd like to say hi, please do. I will hopefully be here on a regular basis now, but we'll see how it goes.

I'm also on Tumblr too, and this repeated freakout over Tumblr possibly being shutdown always happens so I'm just waiting to see what happens. Either way, people backing up their blogs and notifying others where they are elsewhere is always a good idea regardless.

That's awesome that you're still active over here. I wish I'd kept up with journaling. Tumblr's fun but it's kind of passive. At least the way I do it lol.

Yeah I'm hoping this is just another in a long line of needless freakouts but just in case, I figure I'd better have an alt platform to go to. I will be bummed if Tumblr goes down, if only because I'd lose so many pretty gifsets & artwork reblogs. I love looking back & seeing everything I've reblogged from certain fandoms.

Hi!

The person who owns it now apparently fired a lot of people so it's being run by a skeleton crew. That's probably why there was no big April Fools event this year. This caused a bit of a freak out that Tumblr might finally shut down but it's all just speculation.

I heard a rumor that Tumblr is about to be deleted, but couldn't find anything about it on my dash when I looked...

I think the tumblr deletion rumor was just people panicking. But the guy in charge of it now fired, like, most of the staff. So who knows what's going to happen now? I hope it doesn't go under because, at least right now, there's no similar alternative.
