#4: GODS...If there's anyone in the 'Verse who needs a hug more than Zoe (after what happened to Wash), point me in their direction.

I honestly think if Boomer had been given a few more *tackle hugs* by her cylon sisters, she may have gone down a completely different path...Alas...:(

See, I've honestly been confused about Boomer since "Downloaded." I just never understood WHAT happened that turned her character like that. (So if you know, PLEASE tell me.)

Well...I would've preferred if they didn't kill ANYONE but since it was Joss...I was expecting both Wash and Book to die. Doesn't mean I didn't sob my eyes out...'Cause I did and still do every time I see something that reminds me of their deaths :(.

Boomer: I was actually pretty happy with her storyline in Downloaded. I thought it was really cool that she (along with Caprica 6) tried to use her experiences with humanity to steer the cylons down a different path.

Now, the writers pretty much screwed her over after New Caprica by making her A: Become Cavil's pet (ICK!!!) and B: Making her want to be the 'perfect' machine while still holding on to many of her human emtions (anger, jealousy, the need for revenge).

I HATE the direction the writers took her character in but I still love HER because, like I said, if she'd only had even ONE person who showed her love or compassion, she might've been okay.

I love my poor, damaged Boomie:)

See, but that's the thing. Loved her in Downloaded. Understood her in Downloaded. But then all of a sudden it's after New Caprica and she's all vengeful bitch and I'm going "Huh???" I mean, did I MISS something? I really think I missed some characterization in some scene where she decided to go all evil. Cuz I'm STILL confused.

But seriously, and I'm sorry to say this *sheepish grin*, the SECOND she did what she did to Helo and then took Hera, my sympathies were gone. It really only took a second in my BSG viewing to make me hate a character, i.e. Tory (and Cally) and Gaeta (nuff said).

You didn't miss anything in-canon to explain Boomer's transformation because there WASN'T anything in-canon to explain it...Which is one of the reasons why I want to kick RDM in the shins if we ever meet in person.

And although I absolutely agree with your Cally-hatred (though I never really liked her anyway) I still kinda love the others.

...Well, I love pre-4.5 Tory and like to believe she sailed off into the sunset with one of the Leoben's and some mindless idiot took her place and died at Tyrol's hands. (Come on! Like MY Tory was really going to 'let' him find out what'd she done. She SO would've talked her way out of that memory-sharing bull!crap).

But with Gaeta and Boomer...as much as I HATE their actions (and I do mean HATE), I can't bring myself to hate them. In fact, I can kinda see where they were coming from. Still HATE what they did and how they went about it but it doesn't change the way I feel about them.

Let's face it...they were two of the most tragic characters on the show and it's pretty darn hard not to feel SOMETHING for all the pain they suffered...or maybe it's just hard for me because I loved them so much to begin with...*huggles* Boomie and Felix and kinda wishes they'd found each other on New Caprica and lived happily ever after...

S4 for me failed almost every character in every single way...frak, we even have to reimagine Hera's happy ending too what with the allusion that she died shortly after having a kid...:(

I've resorted to a rather elaborate yet perfectly acceptable reimaginged finale/continuation where all the crossed over characters are still around, giving them a new start, too... Trust me, it's neat :)

The writers made a lot of mistakes in Season 4, that's true.

But there were some things I'd like to keep...like Kara ending up with Sam, the happy!Agathon ending, Cavil offing himself, Kara finding her own body and freaking out Leoben (cause who'dve ever thought that guy could be wigged out by anything?!)...

...But for the most part...yeah...season 4 needed work.
